Attachement styles (script and drawings: Štěpánka Jislová, 5 pages, 2017)
This homage to art nouveau and old fairy-tales was created at Laydeez do Comics symposium under the theme Princesses: Happily Ever After. Balancing on the edge between narrative illustration and experimental comics, it draws inspiration from the science of the ways how humans get attached to each other. Their relationships are then often defined by pre-programmed behavior which can, in many cases, lead to unhealthy situations. The idea was to go through the most famous stories – those that are engraved in us in early stages of our lives, and try to find these patterns, as attachments styles are created when we’re still infants.
